YAMAGATA INTECH takes part in planning the VizImpress initiated by SGI Japan

At present, SGI Japan, Ltd. (GM: Norio Izumi, HQ: Ebisu Shibuya-ku) launches "VizImpress Initiative" with a number of hardware manufacturers, SIer and contents creators, and starts to carry out activities, in order to popularize a new generation of contents display function whose core is a presentation solution "VizImpress" for dialogue-style rich contents.

SGI Japan, Ltd. will position VizImpress as the core solution for contents lifecycle management (new solution system "SiliconLIVE!", and from now on, SGI Japan, Ltd. will regard this initiative as the development center to further popularize and expand new market, and jointly stride into the future. In the beginning, only 14 companies took part in this activity, and now the number of participating companies is increasing, which is expected to reach about 50 during this year.

SGI Japan, Ltd. will provide technical information and related details to enterprises participating this "VizImpress Initiative" activity, and meanwhile hold regular seminar and others to meet the demands of expanded business and increased contents quality.

The best solution that gives full play to contents advantage can be constructed within the scope headed by financial, logistics service, manufacturing and other general enterprises, including media, broadcast & TV bureau, communication enterprises, universities governmental authorities, communes and others.

SGI Japan, Ltd. is striving to promote the application of a specific and advanced development mode -- contents lifecycle management for a new generation of network technology, in the "VizImpress Initiative" on the basis of joint ventures with NEC, Sony and Canon Marketing Japan and other companies. Moreover, SGI Japan, Ltd. cooperates with foregoing companies in the areas of supplying Adobe System (previous Macro Media), flash Video, and developing Macromedia Breeze and others.

In addition, SGI Japan, Ltd. began to supply VizImpress from Feb 2005, and began to invest in Canadian content interface corporation (CIC, Toronto) in Nov 2005. In Mar 2006, it worked with Digital Niche Archiving (DNA) Inc to found CI Japan, Ltd. (GM: Norio Izumi, HQ: Ebisu Shibuya-ku) and went into operation. Subsequently, it newly added VizImpress's core engine -- "enVision (en-version)" in the application lineup to strengthen its function.

VizImpress is a platform for interactive display of a number of cartoons, pictures, Flash, CG and other rich contents. This project is mainly aimed to: expand the business that utilizes high resolution contents, through cooperation centered by VizImpress. And this initiative is participated and launched by hardware manufacturers, software manufacturers, SIer and content creators that record good results in media, manufacturing, medicine, commune and all other application domains.

Now, in the display equipment market, research on the IT-based electronic bulletin board system -- "Digital Signage" is accelerating. VizImpress can interactively display high-precision and high-quality contents on network to realize a new generation of Digital Signage environment. It can hereby create new opportunities by integration between content creators, hardware manufacturers and software manufacturers, and realize the change of presentation of former concept new-style rich contents in broader fields.

On the occasion of launching this initiative, 14 companies responsible for VizImpress display, touch panel, contents and others formally participated in the planning, and held the first "VizImpress Operation, Cooperators Forum" in Canadian Embassy in Tokyo Akasaka from 13:00 pm on Apr 13 (Thursday). Subsequently, it decided to jointly hold the second forum together with the "SGI Japan SiliconLIV E! Forum" that would otherwise be held on 23 May according to the original plan. In addition, it also need to further solicit enterprises from the society to participate in order to expand this initiative.

VizImpress is a solution to Silicon LIVE!'s display function -- SiliconLIVE!Na vi, we should take chance of this initiative to further reinforce new function and expand new utility.
